This film is an upbeat look at the remarkable history of the Swahili people of the East African coast.

Kenya. Schlessinger Media, 2005.
Narrator, Patricia Kessler. Students will learn about Kenya's unique contribution to our global village called Earth! The program includes information on the geography, history, political system, currency, language, religion and climate. A young tour guide will also show a few of the most famous sites and sample the delicious food.

Lost Boys of Sudan. New Video Group, c2003.
Follows two teenage Sudanese boys, orphaned by their war torn country, who left one life behind and traveled to the United States looking for a safer environment and learning to cope with the unfamiliar complexities of contemporary American society.
